"My husband and I traveled to Qamea this past May for our week-long honeymoon. What can we say about Qamea? We loved it! I finally have the time to share a little bit about our experience in this paradise! Our most lasting memory: the time we laughed, played, danced, sang, and ate with the Fijian people. From the helpful and charming staff at Qamea to the welcoming and warm locals in the village we visited (Waibulu), the Fijian people are the most genuine, hospitable people we have come across with in our travels. The resort itself fulfilled our need and desire to get away from everything after the stress of wedding planning. It was like a little world in itself. We stayed in a beachfront bure for a few days and then enjoyed another couple of days in the more spacious, more romantic honeymoon bure. The main features we appreciated in the honeymoon bure were the hot tub, inside and outside shower option, and a large sitting area. However, staying in the beachfront bure the whole time would have been just as lovely. The food was tasty. There were many options to choose from. We never ate the same thing twice during our stay. Well, except for the chocolate chip pancakes at breakfast. We couldn't get enough of them! The staff was also happy to accommodate our special diet, since we can't eat certain foods for religious reasons.
